Liel Vini, born Eliel Rodrigues in São Paulo, Brazil, was introduced to gospel music by his grandmother and began singing in local churches at the age of 6. He won 7 regional singing competitions before participating in Brazilian Idol in 2011. This gave him national recognition and led to a small tour with Banda Fé. He won a scholarship to study music education and Bossa Nova in Brazil, and in 2014, he moved to Atlanta, GA, to further his music education. He won third place in NATS, which opened doors to new opportunities, including performing with Andrea Bocelli and touring with Sarah Brightman. Liel focused on teaching music and producing his own material until 2023 when he started releasing original music, which quickly gained over 5K followers on Instagram. His music is influenced by mental health, and he cites Amy Winehouse and Brazilian artists as his main influences.
